Hollywood! 🌟 It's a state of mind as much as a place on the map.

The name alone conjures up many images ... from glamorous to seedy. From Pretty Woman to the dozens of costumed Superman characters prowling the Boulevard. From those who arrive from parts unknown seeking fame and fortune to those so well known they feel like a good friend.

Hollywood is also a business. It keeps the locals employed and, at times, annoyed - in part due to the overwhelming amount of street closures for award shows, movie premieres and the occasional protest... just to name a few of the daily irritants we easily grow accustomed to as a normal part of a very unique life.

My hope- as both an aficionado of Hollywood and a local Hollywood Hills West resident for over 15 years- is to bring to life and give a voice to the buildings, places and things in Hollywood that are, perhaps, overlooked. Walking this neighborhood of 3.51 square miles one is easily catapulted from the early 20s to the mid 80s to current day and back again - in just one block! Hollywood is a scene ... and the " unscene " is fascinating to me. I hope it is fascinating to you as well!

In addition to original posts, photos and videos I will share with you any pertinent events, pages and/or stories of interest. And please- if there's a question you have, a place you want to see, more information you are looking for... ask!
